Hello Sunshine! Hello Transformation! - Rosie

19 classes. 4 weeks. 0 excuses.

Rosie took on the challenge!

Introducing Rosie! Rosie wanted to get into a new habit of working out regularly and took the challenge to feel great on her big holiday she had planned! She completed the challenge and lost over 5% in body fat and now feels confident maintaining her new way long term thanks to FLYKICK! We caught up with Rosie after her holiday when reality had kicked back in and we asked her about her FLYKICK challenge experience!

What is your favourite thing about FLYKICK?

It works for both the beginner and people who are more advanced so I can work on the basics but also get my technique right and learn new things as that is really important to me. I love that the class format is varied, it keeps my brain busy whilst also working my body really hard!

Introducing Rosie! Rosie wanted to get into a new habit of working out regularly and took the challenge to feel great on her big holiday she had planned! We caught up with Rosie after her holiday when reality had kicked back in and we asked her about her FLYKICK challenge experience!

Could you talk us through your training regime? How many times per week were you training at FLYKICK and how do you work it around a full-time job?

I started off doing 3/4 classes a week and by the end was doing 5/6. It’s easy to fit in around work and life if you plan your week ahead of time. I got into the habit of doing a class before work, but also went at weekends when I’d usually have more energy. I also squeezed in some lunchtime classes!

What are your top 3 tips for staying on top of your training? Why did the challenge work so well for you?

Plan, plan, plan!

Decide when you are going to get your workouts in before each week and make sure you factor in life plans so that it’s realistic. I am a huge planner, so having an excel spreadsheet where I put all my workouts and food in was great for me. I also brought all my food with me everywhere so made my own breakfasts and lunches to take to work and would carry healthy snacks with me so I was never in a situation where I was starving hungry!

This challenge worked so well for me because I love FLYKICK classes, so I genuinely wanted to go. If you choose a workout you don’t like you’ll never stick to it, so find something you enjoy.

What about your diet, did that have to change much during the challenge? Were there any foods that you really missed?

I cut out carbs (respect!) and had green veg instead. I also stopped eating dairy and refined sugar and then had lots of protein and healthy fats. I was careful with the booze too, kept this to a minimum and stuck to clear spirits & slimline tonic. I did get chocolate cravings and had a few slip ups here but was waaaaaay better than I was before so it didn’t make a huge difference!

What’s one thing that you’ve learnt throughout this process?

Not to pay any attention to your weight. I could see myself and feel myself getting loads smaller but my weight hardly changed. I lost 5% body fat in 4 weeks but only 1kg of weight. If I hadn’t been doing the measurements, I’d have been so demotivated by that but as I could see the true results using the other methods I didn’t care.

Would you recommend that other people take on their ownchallenge?

Definitely! I had so much fun and as it was a short time frame it felt so achievable. I felt amazing on my holiday and am so motivated to carry on the great habits that I’ve formed now.

Rosie x
