I SAID A HIP HOP, HIPPIE

FLYKICK + FLOW TO THE HIP HOP BEAT

Next week on Friday 20th and Saturday 21st July, Flykick will be teaming up with our friends at One LDN to host two days of Hip Hop Yoga.

Those who managed to make it to our Solstice event know just how beneficial yoga can be when following a regular Flykick session. Not only does the deep stretching work wonders for hip and shoulder mobility, but the relaxing nature of yoga can also help your mind and body transition back out of the high intensity of a kickboxing session. The combination of the two is also a match made in heaven when it comes to stress relief.

If you’ve never tried Hip Hop Yoga before, just imagine your favourite flows and sequences to the soundtrack of a chilled hip hop playlist. Led by yoga instructor Tameka Small, the 45-minute candlelit classes are suitable for all levels and will help you get to work on your flexibility, strength and core stability – which will in turn improve your skills on the bag. Never done yoga before? No problem – although Tameka’s classes are super challenging, they’re also totally accessible to beginners and she’ll help you through your practice from start to finish.

On Friday 20th July, there will be one yoga class scheduled for 7:15pm. Those who book in to the 6pm Flykick class will automatically be booked in for the yoga session at no additional fee. Sounds good, right? There will only be 32 spots in total available, so make sure you book in as soon as possible!

On Saturday 21st July, there will be two yoga classes running at 9:45am and 11am. These two sessions will be priced at £20 each, and can be booked in via Eventbrite. Again, the sessions will be capped at 32 participants per class, so get booked in soon! What better way to start your weekend?
